WHY ARE GREEK HEROES FIGHTING FOR THEIR GODS?

Once upon a time there was a sweet maiden named Persephone- the daughter of supreme god Zeus and goddess of fertility Demeter. As Hades laid his eyes on Persephone, he was mesmerised.

But a union between the god of the underworld and the daughter of an Olympian goddess was quite unlikely (given the fact that Demeter was practically obsessed with her daughter). Out of desperation, Hades kidnapped Persephone and married her. Persephone, on the other hand, doesn’t want to live in a sunless world.

This tragedy stirred the harmony of Mount Olympus.

After some time, Persephone managed to escape from Hades’ palace and reached her home in heaven. She went to her father Zeus crying and pleaded with him to save her from Hades. Following his wife, Hades also reached the palace of Zeus and a war breaks out between the two powerful gods of heaven and hell. Hades now wants to take away the throne from Zeus.

Meanwhile other 11 Olympian gods also want to dethrone Zeus and conquer the throne of heaven. On receiving the opportunity, all the powerful gods lock horns and the entire universe starts vibrating. All the gods have their own supreme powers hence the fight seems never ending. It might as well destroy the entire universe.

Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war has a solution to this ceaseless problem. She suggests the gods choose their own heroes and make them fight. It will give them the desired conclusion.

Agreeing to the solution, gods decide to choose 4 Greek heroes each to represent them. Different battles between 52 heroes belonging to 13 gods will make the Mortal Arena.

Now instead of gods, their representatives will fight showing their strength and skills in the duel. The superior warrior will win the fight to become an Immortal.
