DIONYSUS AND HIS ACCOMPLICE

Who will serve wine along with god Dionysus to drive the world insane?

Dionysus is the god of fertility and wine and often considered a patron of the arts. He is known for the duality in his nature- He brings joy and divine ecstasy and he also brings brutal and blinding rage.

Born to Zeus and Semele, he is the only god to have a mortal parent. Dionysus’ mother died after being tricked by the jealous Hera but he was protected by Zeus. He was raised by the mountain nymphs.

In Mortal Arena, he has 4 fearless Greek heroes to help him win the throne of heaven.

Perseus (Legendary Hero)

Perseus was the only son of Zeus and Danae- one of the greatest heroes in Greece. He is famously known as the slayer of Medusa. Perseus had a difficult relationship with his mother when Oracle told her father that Danae’s son would kill him. He tried his best to get rid of Perseus and his mother, but destiny was written differently.

Not only did he survive, but he also beheaded the only mortal Gorgon, Medusa and used her severed head as a mighty weapon in his subsequent adventures. Now he will fight battles for Dionysus.

Hyrieus (Epic Hero)

Hyrieus was a Greek king known for his wealth and for being the father of the hunter Orion. He built and ruled the city of Hyria in Boeotia. The city prospered and gold flew into his palace. As it happened he got a secured treasure house built for his gold.

As Hyrieus prospered, He had no heir to pass his wealth onto and it killed him inside. Soon he was visited by three gods, Poseidon, Zeus and Hermes in disguise. He made a great host and the gods rewarded him with a son called Orion. With his wealth and courage, he will make a great associate to Dionysus.

Aeson (Common Hero)

Aeson was the mortal prince of Greece, heir to the throne of Iolcus. He is famously known as the father of the Greek hero Jason. He was to be the successor of Cretheus but his step-brother Pelias betrayed him and took the throne.

Aeson was imprisoned to prevent future threats to his rule. Now he will fight in Mortal Arena to get his honour back.

Alcmene (Common Hero)

Alcmene is known as the mother of the demigod hero Heracles by the god Zeus. She was the daughter of Electryon and wife of Amphitryon. She went to Thebes with her husband.

Later on, when Amphitryon went on an expedition, passionate Zeus disguised as her husband and slept with her. The union resulted in her being pregnant with Heracles- a man of superhuman strength and violent passions. This marvellous woman will fight for Dionysus in Mortal Arena.
